The Belgian group Fruytier comes to Burgundy

The family company Fruytier, one of the most important sawmills and wood transformation companies in Europe has set up at La Roche-en-Brenil in the Côte d’Or. They have 4 production sites in Belgium, Germany and Poland that produce 8,000m3 of round resinous wood per day. In 2007, their consolidated turnover was 180 million Euros.

Pierre Fruytier, the group Managing Director says, “The reactions and the combined efforts of the city council, the council grouping together Saulieu and the neighbouring towns, the Burgundy Regional Council, the Côte d’Or General Council and Burgundy Development Agency, have allowed this project to develop within the time allocated for its realisation ”.
